third year = done

The above video (courteously posted by my video class partner, Jason), was my final "subvertisement" project. It culminated ten weeks of Intro to Field Production and Editing, a class that took up much of my life this past quarter, but was worth every minute. The video actually took about 2.5 weeks to put together, which included all facets of production, from planning, to shooting, to editing. It was not an easy process, and our product is far from perfect, but it was fun!

I also wrapped up my other two classes. I wrote a 10 page paper on Irish government, analyzing what kind of democracy it is (closer to the Westminster model, but not the UK...uh, ya). I also finished a 12 page paper outlining happiness as it is influenced by race and citizenship (this paper felt like nails scratching on a chalkboard).

Needless to say, I'm finally done! Summer has commenced, and in reality, I have not done much since Friday. I am done at LC, waiting to begin at 9News, and am in the market for a new job at the moment. Hopefully it pans out because another accomplishment for the week was putting down a deposit on an apartment; Ashley and I will be moving to Buchtel Blvd. as of the end of the month! Wohoo us!

PS I did get a kind of a job that will be interesting. I am now officially a campus manager for EF College Break, so I'm recruiting people to travel. Specifically, I'm hoping my work will lead to getting me a free trip with EF, but I've decided that no matter what happens, I'm doing a tour of Western Europe with Elizabeth next summer!
